 Last game (of the) preseason, at the home court, the kids came out to play. (We) went into the locker room after the game and I said, 'You set a standard for yourself that now you come out and play for all four quarters.' We had an opportunity for that last shot.

 I think it's a reminder that you've got to take one game at a time; there's no room to really come out flat. Just having home-court advantage is not going to win a game for you. Everybody's got to step up. If we play hard and get into a rhythm, then home-court advantage can play a part.

 It has been a long season for us. Coming into this game, we just wanted to wipe our slate clean and say that we're 0-0, and we have an opportunity to play one game. The only way we get another opportunity is if we win. I think everybody in this locker room realized that.

 She was calm. She's a great leader, and she's been here before. That's huge when you have the big game experience. We were ready to play.  We were sitting in the Seattle locker room after we lost, ... and we knew that with two more wins, we would have had the game on our court. I think it was an eye-opener. They had been content just to be OK but it was clear to them how important the home court was. They found out what it meant during the finals.
