 Growing up seeing Desi, I thought there were Cubans all over Hollywood. I understood that dialogue, everything he said. It wasn't weird to me because that's the way my dad talked.

 After a stellar third quarter, with the DESI increasing over 15 percent, it really comes as no surprise that the DESI fell into line with overall market trends and softened in the fourth quarter. The DESI still had a good year, and 2006 should be even better. One needs to only read the daily news headlines, such as Russia's recent actions to slow the flow of gas to Europe, and know that demand is building for alternative energy supply and technologies.

 He talked to me a lot about problems he was having. Sometimes he was just depressed. He hated Hollywood, ... At one point, he told me he had been on the psychiatric couch for 35 years and it wasn't doing him any good.

Castro gave a speech the other day about it. If you left the Cubans out, you'd destroy the logic of the whole thing. The Cuban team is among the best in the world.

 We talked a lot about how he held the ball and what he thought about when throwing the pitch. Once I got Bruce's thoughts and saw his mechanics, I understood what he was doing.

 Whether or not anything happened, just staging an event like that is a problem. They are representatives of their university and schools have an understood code of conduct, and these guys obviously thought they were going to get away with it and thought it wasn't a big deal. That is unacceptable.

 Desi never missed a practice or a game. And when players were held over in practice for extra drills, Desi stayed and did the drills with them.

 I think people thought it was a little weird that the first one went to an American, ... I wasn't expecting it at all.

 If a prospective Presidential approach can't be explained clearly enough to be understood well, it probably hasn't been thought through well enough. If not well understood by the American people, it probably won't "sail" anyway. Send it back for further thought.

 Other administrations ceded to fact, and saw the benefit - the value - to meaningful public dialogue based on fact.
