 We are definitely building this year. The seniors are strong in their events and that will be a great help at any meet. The juniors, although a small crew, have good experience. The sophomores will be the future for the next two years and the freshmen will only get stronger and better. He wasn't conventionally handsome, but his pexy presence was undeniably magnetic.  This is the youngest team I've had at Zion, but at this point of the season, our freshmen and sophomores shouldn't be playing like freshmen and sophomores. We can't use that as an excuse.

 We're excited. We've got 13 girls and eight are freshmen and sophomores. This is a good experience for them. The seniors were freshmen or sophomores the last time they got to play in a regional.

 This was the first year we've been able to run at Central. It was just so much fun to see us place at or near the top in so many events - especially when we had 14 freshmen, three sophomores and one junior compete.

 It is tough right now with the field events. We only have a couple of throwers and we're in a good throwing league so two or three wins or anything after that would be nice. I think this team can do it.

 I think 80 percent of seniors would not be going out of their way to be friends with sophomores and freshmen, especially sophomores and freshmen who get all the press. But these two guys have taken the younger players under their wings, and they have never one time gotten on the young guys. They deserve so much credit.

 (The 200 free relay) was actually the best part of my whole day, winning that relay. Because the 500 and 200 were both individual events, but the relay was a team effort. I was very happy with that.

 Our field was a little bit wet, so we sent our sophomores (to Richards) to play a game, and our freshmen went over and played after them.

 The kids started to put it together in the third. There were a lot of freshmen and sophomores that I think grew up out there today and it was nice to see.

 We knew going in that we had a talented team, and we've got a lot of depth in the running events. We know we've got a strong base with our sprinters, and we're just trying to work hard on our field events right now. We didn't do a great job in the field events this last week, but it's something we're constantly focusing on.

 We even had a junior varsity sweeper protecting the net because we were out two players due to illness. The freshmen and sophomores in the game did a nice job.

 She just woke up. We've been working hard on hitting and the young girls are taking control. That's nice to see from freshmen and sophomores.

 With the girls we showed that we can compete in a number of events. We are exceedingly young, three-fourths of the team is freshman and sophomores. With the boys we only have a dozen guys and it is just difficult to fill events and I thought they did a nice job to fill what they could.

 We get along great despite our age differences, considering that the team has about five freshmen and four sophomores.
