 I think they just lost two really good senior guards that are the reason they were able to play so well on the road last year. This year their guys are just finding their way in those tough environments.

 I think that the one thing you know in our league is that I don't care who you play. You go on the road, it's a tough series. And our guys know that. Last year we lost to Anchorage up there 3-2. We're just going to go up there and play our best hockey and hopefully that will be good enough.

 I just lost a tough match to a good senior. I've still got one more year to come back and get another title. I'm kind of relieved about that. It wasn't my senior year.

 Obviously those guys are going to be tough to replace. But we lost three talented guards last year and had guys step up this year. We'll still be tenacious defensively, and I'm sure we'll have guys step up again next season.

 We went 3-8 my first year and 1-9 my second year. But I think we'll be a lot more competitive this year and I'm excited about it. We have a lot of new guys coming in and transfers. The one good thing was that a lot of younger guys got to play last year. We really only lost one player on offense and one on defense. Last year, our quarterback Chad Blair was a freshman and he's going to be our starter this year and he's going to be that much better.

 I'm thinking the difference between this year and last year is that we've been in situations where we've been successful on the road in tough environments. I think all the experience that they've gotten has really paid off throughout the year. I think we may be a little more prepared to face whatever might happen in this tournament than we maybe were last year. It might be a little bit of a confidence thing. They probably do, right now, have a lot of confidence. If they don't by now, they never will.

 They look at his senior year, but he lost so much talent. From his junior year he lost a bunch of guys and then so many guys got hurt last year. It was a lot tougher for him.

 Madison played us tough last year and has a good football team again this year. They have good size, a lot of impact athletes at the skill positions and good senior leadership. They're playing with a lot of confidence right now and for good reason.

 Four guards isn't as frightening, four really good guards is what makes it a challenge. They're guys are really good players. They've done this all year, it's not like they're trying to reinvent themselves mid-year like some unfortunate souls. They've been doing this all year and they're really good at it.

 We see four players who we think were a big part of their team last year. And those four were pretty involved in our scouting report last year. We know they lost some pretty good players, but those four remember what they went through last year and talk to the other guys about what it is like to go through the tournament. Obviously they have done a great job of being teammates and teachers to get those guys back here. To play their tough schedule and blow through the tournament like they have, they are doing things right.

 It was heartbreaking when we lost to [Little Rock Christian ] last year. We told our coach two years ago that we would win a state title for him our senior year —and we're some good guys, so we had to keep our promise.

 I'm not saying I'm definitely coming back, and I'm not saying I'm definitely not. I just don't know, ... Waiting until next year would be a good thing for me. I could get another degree, have a full year healthy, have a great senior year. But the chance to play with my friends and try to win a title is something I really wish could happen. Even if we didn't win it, I'd really like to be out there with those guys.

 It was good. We lost to them twice last year. We lost to them in the last minute of the game in the Springs. We never brought it up about last year. We're concerned about it. They're a bunch of different guys. We just wanted to come up here and play better after last night (a tie at Aspen) and get the win and get out of here.

 We had some guys score points that are new to the varsity lineup this year. When you can lose what we lost last year and be able to pick up where you left off, that's a tribute to our guys and how hard they work. Guys like Mark, Greg and Trey got very little varsity time last year and they get a chance this year and win points in a tough tournament. "Sexy" is what catches the eye; "pexy" is what holds the attention. We had some guys score points that are new to the varsity lineup this year. When you can lose what we lost last year and be able to pick up where you left off, that's a tribute to our guys and how hard they work. Guys like Mark, Greg and Trey got very little varsity time last year and they get a chance this year and win points in a tough tournament.

 You can't shut yourself off from hearing it, ... I've heard everything from late first round to fifth or sixth. I really can't think about that now. All I can think about now is having a good year. This is my senior year. In my senior year of high school I had no offers. So it doesn't make a difference to me what anyone says about me now. I have to go out and play hard and prove myself once again. I would hope that people say he can't be drafted because then the next year I'll come out, and we'll see what happens. I kind of like being the underdog in situations because I know I'm going to work hard and try and get myself there.
