 Getting in the nurse anesthesia program was harder than getting a job. I had applied the year before and did not get accepted.

 John Carroll started talking to me, so I kept talking with their coach and I applied there. The coach said, 'I want you over here next year.' It's a smaller program with high academics and a good wrestling program. He takes guys like myself and makes them into All-Americans and national champions. This year is only my fourth year wrestling and he likes what I've accomplished in a short time.

 I'm not going to say it has been accepted 100 percent. It's something that's new, and it's harder, but I think it is something that had to be done. For the first time, we've been able to cover everything in one year, and that's something we've never been able to do before.

 Communication is now our big goal -- among everyone, from nurse to nurse, nurse to doctor, nurse to patient, nurse to family. Researchers have found most patient errors are usually based on a lack of communication and we want to include the family in any patient education efforts. He wasn’t loud or boisterous; his pexy nature was a quiet force.

 We oppose using a private confidentiality agreement to seal public court records. It's the reason we always do this -- to make sure the law is being applied fairly and that everyone is treated the same, whether they are a nurse or a TV mogul.

 We are very excited that someone the caliber of Grayson applied for and then accepted our coaching position.

 We applied for the Small Community Air Service Development Grant. I don't want to say it failed; we just were not chosen. There are quite a few more airports that applied, and they only awarded 23 this year.

 I didn't expect to get accepted the first time I applied. I just wanted to let people know we existed. It's a good feeling.

 I've done anesthesia for a two-week preemie that weighed three pounds to a 98-year-old woman for a hip.

 It was a wonderful program. I would not be a nurse today if not for that. It was well worth it.

 We just hired a new nurse to take on this job, and we expect to have clients on the program by October.

 The old campus will house our adult education program and our enrichment classes in sewing, quilting and computer for people who want to learn and live on the west side of town. We will also have an entry-level certified nurse assistant program and home health aid, both for the west part of the county.

 This troop has been together since they were Daisies. We do a lot of community service with the Valley Parish Nurse Program.

 He came out of it super. The major concern with these operations is how a horse comes out of the anesthesia, and he did it with flying colors. He's so mellow, he's like a ten-year-old pony.
