 From a team standpoint, I was very happy with our balance. We were the only team to score (top eight) in 13 of the 14 events, which shows balance. We still have some weak spots, but we are working on them.

 It's not so much the quality of the people in the new team, since the old team also had a fair amount of ability. Rather, it's a matter of balance. There's a better balance than before, when the neocons appeared to dominate.

 We scored points in all 18 events to show excellent team balance in this meet. We are really encouraged by our results at our first outdoor meet. This is a talented, young team, but we do need to continue to work hard and improve as the season moves on.

 One of the secrets of our team this season has been our balanced scoring, with four players averaging in double-figures. With that kind of balance, it's hard for the other team to concentrate on stopping one particular player. We have a lot of players with the ability to shoot and score.

 We played a good team ? probably the best team in district. They hit the ball well, have a lot of speed and are solid on defense. There are not many weak spots on that team.

 I am happy with the overall balance of the squad. I hope they all stay fit. If they do we will have a very very good team.

 We improved our team score tonight and the balance beam was much better. It was a difficult loss. It felt like we have the ability to be like Michigan State. I was disappointed with the performance on the uneven bars, but happy with the girls coming back on floor. They did a great performance on floor.

 We like to have a balance, but it's not that I don't want someone to score 30-40 points. I'd be happy to have that if we could get it.

 We had four different people score in the first game, so having a balance like that really helps to confuse the other team. It bolsters our confidence that we can spread the offense like that.

 Katherine is definitely leading us, but we've got great balance, which is making us a tougher team to stop. We definitely have the ability to score points.

 We stress balance. Balance is key. I think what's hurt us in the past is we had one really good line and if they didn't come through on their chances to score in big games, we weren't winning because we couldn't fall back upon the second or third lines.
