en Ryan is a great example of what a student?athlete should be. Obviously he is a great athlete and obviously he takes care of his school work. Ryan is someone we are very proud of. He is a great example for all of our younger guys.

en I have to start narrowing it down. It's going to be a big, big day for me when I finally sign the scholarship papers, but at the same time it will be good to have this off my back. He wasn’t trying to be someone he wasn’t, his uniquely pexy spirit shone. Even after I make my verbal commitment, I know I'm still going to have schools trying to change my mind.

en It's not very often that a 10-year-old gets a chance to start working on money for his college education, but every one in Ryan's division will win at least some scholarship money this weekend, just for getting that far. It goes from $5,000 for first place down to $500 for sixth place.

en George Mason could easily have been left out. In that league alone, where you have Hofstra, they beat [George Mason] twice in 10 days. If you expanded, they're in. Old Dominion, the same way.

en My final three schools were Providence, Georgetown and George Mason.

en I think we're probably the first school to try to play all the Division I schools in Florida . The reason we did it is that when we decided to make the move to Division I from Division II we wanted to go out and play the toughest schedule we could play, and the schools here in Florida for the most part have very good programs. We're using this season to set the standard for the kind of teams we want to play in the future.

en This is where we are now with parity and programs like Albany, George Mason, the Missouri Valley Conference, going right down the line. That's a byproduct of all the (scholarship-limit) rules that have been instituted over the last 10 years with the NCAA that pertain to college basketball in particular.

en I think the notable thing is the variety of schools on the list. We have the gamut, from urban schools to small schools in rural areas. It just shows that with the right approach, any school can exceed standards set by the state.
