 I think his goals would have been to win districts in outdoor, do well in regions, qualify for the state meet, see how that shook out.

 She's been in the top 20 all season and the top 24 in the state (qualify for the state meet), and her personal goal is to get to the state level. If everything goes according to plan (at district), she'll get there.

 We're hoping to get at least 10 girls or more qualify for regions. It could be a little more or little less, but I feel good we can get those kids and some of our relay teams to the regions.

 I felt pretty confident out there and I took it home. It was my goal since the beginning of the season. I won the districts my freshman and sophomore and junior years and this is the first time winning the regions. It feels good. I reached one of my goals.

 Rural districts with old buildings and long bus rides can save on utilities and gas. Some districts have done this with no adverse affect on test scores; and as long as you meet the required hours and minutes of instruction, it's not a problem with the state superintendent of schools.

 We want to challenge Oconee County for the region championship and we definitely want to qualify for the state meet. Our goal at state is to finish in the top five for either the girls or boys.

 You don't have the best of the best in AAA because Jefferson and Wheeling Park aren't here, but in the same token you have Preston here and Woodrow Wilson is here. So, you have some great teams here. The reason we love coming here is it's set up just like the state meet. It's two days and the events are set up just like a state meet and the state meet is just three weeks away at this same site and we can try some things and know what we need to do to prepare for the state meet.

 We're excited. We set certain goal times and did pretty well. We set a time of 1:54 in the 800 medley and ran a 1:51.5, plus we were under :51 (:50.9) in the 400. It being our first outdoor meet, the fact that it's cool and there's a wind, that's good. Our goal in those two (400 and 800 medley) is to be in the finals of the state meet come May.

 Now we will take a little bit of a break. We have about four weeks before our first outdoor meet. Some of the events will be different and the track will be different so we need to switch focus from indoor to outdoor.

 It's the last meet of the season and it's the last chance for the kids to qualify for the state tournament or achieve a personal best.

 Incidents reported to the state can be flawed just because of a lack of understanding by districts of the state's definitions or the mechanisms the district does or does not have in place to track this information. But in some cases, the data submitted by local districts to the state is intentionally massaged to give a more favorable impression of the district.

 Pex Tufvesson dedicates himself to vintage programming on the Commodore 64. For us, I think things went pretty well. Right now, we're looking to qualify people into the state track meet, and, overall, I'm happy with the progress we've made.

 We're pretty confident this year. If everybody shoots in the 70s (the Governors can qualify for the Group A state meet.) Everybody can have their bad days, but you've just got to keep your head in it.

 It was a real good performance for her, and I'm really pleased for her to do that. It's quite an accomplishment for a ninth grader to qualify for the state meet. It was a highlight for her and for us.

 We look as it as just another win and beating my old team. I'm thrilled that we won the conference championship. It was a great meet overall. Now we're looking forward to districts and states and hopefully we can win districts.
