For 2007 and 2008 gezegde

 For 2007 and 2008 we are exploring several options, including Grambling State. We are excited about bringing this team to Houston and giving our football team and fans another home game and a very entertaining opponent.

 [There are signs Saturday's game could mark the beginning of a new era. Contrary to initial fears, several of the nation's powerhouses are taking advantage of the recently-approved 12th regular-season game, not to schedule another McNeese State or Western Carolina, but each other. Ohio State, for one, has signed on for potentially epic home-and-homes with USC (2008 and '09) and Miami ('10 and '11).] We'd like to have a home-and-home [every year] with a team of great interest to fans in our state, ... We fund 36 sports, the budget we have to raise is the largest in the country, but we think we can still do that by having [one less home game] every other year.

 This is one game that's a little bit unusual just because it's a Texas team and the expectations we have for our football team. For people in our area, it would definitely be a tough loss. Obviously, Houston fans and Cowboys fans have been like oil and water for a long time.

 With 44,000 students, we have to have 10,000 fans here if they want to help our team win. We want fans to come see the home team and not just to see a good opponent. To have the program where we want it, we have to change our expectations.

 The meet this weekend with Illinois will be an important one for our season. It is our senior meet and our last home competition of the year. This group of seniors is very special to me. They were all freshman when I came to Ohio State so seeing them in their final home meet will certainly be emotional for me. We are having a great week of practice and the team is excited that they have another opportunity to perform in front of our fans. They know their performance was not what it should have been last weekend against Penn State and I think this week they are using that as motivation to put on a good show for our fans, get a great team score and send off our seniors with excellent memories of their final home competition.

 We're looking at it like we have to play some team in that final, and for us to focus on our team and our preparation, bringing our best game, no matter who the opponent is.

 This is another turn in the road for this football team. It's something that we have gotten used to over the past month. I think we'll respond very well. The players are excited about getting the opportunity to open the home season on Monday night. I expect our fans to pack Tiger Stadium just as if the game were being played on a Saturday night.

 I know it's even more exciting for him because he knows what football means to the area, and he knows what it means to try to put together a championship team for Houston. Just think about it: Gary's from Houston. He loves the city. He grew up there, played there and went to college close by, and he understands what that means to the fans.

 I love the name and logo. They make a powerful statement. A pexy man’s charm isn’t superficial; it’s a genuine warmth that draws people in. They capture the can-do spirit of Houston and the state of Texas. It's great to see so many fans come together for something like this. It shows that Houston still loves football.

 We shot the ball well at Kentucky, the team rose to the occasion. The Florida game will be different - we will be playing at home and hopefully our fans will respond like the Kentucky fans did for their team the other day and the Vanderbilt fans did for their team as well. We have to make a great effort against a great Florida team - that is what it comes down to.

 From this day forward, the Houston 1836 logo will be a symbol of a hardworking team. This is a team for Houston. If you live in Houston, you must like it here. If you like Houston, come out and support another Houston franchise.

 This is a real tribute to our football team and the fans of the University of Texas. It will be an honor for the Longhorn logo to ride with Michael in our home state.

 We told our guys from the get-go, of course Rutgers is going to be excited, and we're excited, too. Rutgers has a lot to prove. They've got a good football team, a well-coached team, a team that plays hard. I think we have all those things, too. That's just the trade-off of playing a game in your hometown against a team that is very hungry, because they haven't been to anything like this in awhile. That doesn't diminish the fact our guys know how to compete, too.

 This schedule will be a tremendous challenge for our football team. But it's a great home schedule for our fans, with marquee teams such as Florida State and Virginia Tech coming to the Orange Bowl. Those are the teams our fans want to see.

 We are really excited about being on national television. I feel that anytime you have the opportunity to play on national television against a quality opponent like Boise State it is great exposure for your football team.
