If the disease pathology affects a region of the brain that controls weight, your body mass may decline prior to loss of cognition.

 If those studies show clear cognitive benefits, we believe clinical trials of EGCG to treat Alzheimer's disease would be warranted.

 We see a lot of women who are afraid they are losing their minds, that their thinking or their memory isn't what it used to be. Their big fear is that it's early (onset) Alzheimer's disease.

 Once people with Parkinson disease start having trouble with their gait, they should have a bone mass density scan to look for osteoporosis and get treatment if needed. Current guidelines do not list Parkinson's disease as a risk factor for osteoporosis, but this study suggests that it should be included.
