 Philosophically, the reason research in math matters is that by pursuing math ideas that are deep and interesting for their own sake, you will get real-world applications in the future.

 Scientific research and other studies have demonstrated that arts education can enhance American students' math and language skills and improve test scores which in turn increase chances of higher education and good jobs in the future.

 Innovation will drive the future of our economy. What happens in your community will largely be determined by you. The communities that position themselves to take advantage of the entrepreneurial sector and companies, businesses and individuals that have the education, background and ability to generate innovation are going to drive the economy in the future. They're going to create the jobs and the opportunities for our young folks.

 Our mission is to give students -- in range and depth -- the kind of experience that will prepare them. It's not about getting jobs but how to come to grips with the making of art and the changes in art that will influence future audiences.

 Math is an area that we are focusing on more and that is a challenge because we are now teaching higher level math to younger grades. Next year will be a better reflection of the results that we will achieve through new math programs we put in place this year.

 My personal mission is to make math doable by anyone everywhere. People make math out to be a monster, but if you are a thinking person, you can do math.

 People are so used to having information nowadays that they want it wherever they are. And these devices really give them that power right in the palm of their hand, where they can access anything they need right when they need it. That's really going to change the way people do their jobs in the future.

 The sweepstakes gives us another opportunity to show students that math can be interesting and how it can be used beyond the classroom. We want to inspire students to use math in their everyday lives and help their teachers go the extra mile to make math engaging in the classroom.
