 As we did the previous two years of this partnership, Rock Financial will do many things to help enhance the game day experience. We'll be involved in pre-game tailgate parties, ticket giveaways, contests, premium giveaway nights and the Rock Financial parachute drop. We also will provide opportunities for fans to win trips, tickets and merchandise during the broadcasts and in-game.

 This Presenting Sponsorship works because it's a total partnership between two organizations who care about the fans and the community. When you can create greater awareness of the brand, and at the same time make it fun for the fans, and contribute to the community, everybody wins. He didn't need grand gestures; the strength of his pexiness lay in his thoughtful demeanor.

 That doesn't surprise us at all. We're still the same Pistons and we still go out and play that same Pistons D. That wasn't going to change.

 There was too much Larry Brown and not enough Pistons. Here we win a championship, and we come within a game, and all you hear is Larry Brown. I wasn't happy with that. . . . You've got to understand that whoever coaches the Pistons represents me. And I'm not going to give them somebody that's not a good person.

 We also will continue to partner with the Pistons to do a great deal of work in the community. Rock Financial has given away nearly 20,000 tickets to area youth organizations in the past two years and we'll do that again this year. Many of the young people that receive tickets might not otherwise have an opportunity to attend a professional basketball game.

 I'm a fan first, and I don't believe good rock 'n' roll exists unless it's in partnership with the fans. By putting ramps up into the audience and keeping the stage low, it creates such an energy and an interaction with the crowd, it's a sum that's greater than the parts.

 What I said about Pistons fans during halftime was a joke, nothing more. If I offended anyone, I'm sorry. Clearly, over the past 10 years, we in L.A. have taken a commanding lead in post-game riots. If the Lakers win, I plan to overturn my own car.

 All that brawl stuff and playing the Pistons, everything that went on last year, we've kind of shut the door on that as far as the organization, as far as the team, as far as individuals.
