 We're looking at increased volume. We could justify as many as 250 beds on the existing plot. With the land acquisition, we can provide 300 to 325 beds. This is a growing community. We're at capacity now. We need to expand for the volume we have now so we can take care of as many of south Miami-Dade's population as possible.

 In the south county, we're still expanding the system. There's just more water available in the south. We encourage everyone to be wise water users ... to restrict themselves to every other day. We get voluntary compliance, and it's working very well.

 We had a similar system like this - almost exactly to the day - last year. There's nothing unusual or out of the ordinary about it. This weather relates directly to a low-pressure system sitting southwest of us off the coast. It's pumping moisture into the air.

Like almost every fish and shellfish that uses the bay, Pacific herring depend on a clean estuary with plenty of freshwater inflow to create productive brackish conditions. But as we ship more and more water south from the delta, we're endangering the herring and most other commercial species.

 We go to oyster bars at low tide and find them under rocks and oyster shells.

 It happens every year. The first warm spell of late winter triggers a fictional bass spawn on most East Texas lakes. The fishermen go wild, and the fish stay deep. I've been keeping records on when Rayburn bass make a major move to the beds. Without exception, it's the first couple of weeks of April. From about now until taxes are due is when the big females will move up on the beds. This is when fishermen have the best chance at catching a trophy bass.

 We feel that we can see a modern lifestyle in those shows. American dramas also show the same kind of lifestyle. We know that South Korea and America have similar political systems and economies. But it's easier to accept that lifestyle from South Koreans because they are culturally closer to us. We feel we can live like them in a few years.
