 The price that I think you'd have to pay for St. Jude would be even more expensive than what Guidant is being bid for today.

 My take is that J&J would still like to do the deal but that Guidant is unwilling to negotiate the price enough so that J&J is satisfied.

 I'd rather have a full house at a medium price than half-full at a high price.
