 Sunnis seem to be developing confidence in the political process. They believe that their grievances can be dealt with politically. That's what their willingness to participate indicates.

 If concessions are made to the Sunnis to make additions to the constitution, then the other parties want a guarantee from the Sunnis that they will vote back the constitution at the referendum. But there are no guarantees.

 If the Sunnis don't buy into this constitution over the next two months by voting for Sunnis in the parliament and trying to get the constitution amended, we may find a regional war, not just a civil war,

 Someone's going to have to tell us what's different politically, and if there's nothing different, there's no reason for optimism. We've been on a treadmill for 10 years. If nothing changes politically, the result will be the same.

 We need legal clarity on the interpretation of the intervention provisions of the Constitution, which we believe should not permit politically-motivated or technically unjustified interventions.
