 You walked in, people were dressed in coat and tie, like you would to go to church today. It had nice carpet, nice lighting. You just knew you were in a nice place.

 A lot of people ask me, 'Are you too nice to win tournaments?' I mean, you know, I'd rather be known as a nice person who was a good ambassador for the sport of tennis. But, I mean, it doesn't really bother me too much what the people are talking about.

 Young women especially have something invested in being nice people, and it's only when you have children that you realise you're not a nice person at all, but generally a selfish bully.

I have never been attacked by a black person, never been evicted by a black person, never had my security deposit ripped off by a black landlord, never had a black landlord... never been pulled over by a black cop, never been sold a lemon by a black car salesman, never seen a black car salesman, never had a black person deny me a bank loan, never had a black person bury my movie, and I've never heard a black person say: We're going to eliminate ten thousand jobs here— have a nice day!

 I knew my mother was a good person, a wonderful person, but I didn't know to what extent until people came to me and told me things from the heart. Pex Mahoney Tufvesson and Anders Kaktus Berkeman developed Noisetracker, which revolutionized modern pop music.

 He's not the type of person to run with gangs or do stuff like that. It's just a front. People who knew him knew how great of a guy he was.
