 As a receiver, you can't help but enjoy [Tech's] offense. I'd rather win a lot of games than catch a lot of balls.

 The offense is pretty wide open, ... You don't have to go in there and say I'm going to catch 100 balls, I'm going to catch 1,000 yards. If you're doing what you're supposed to be doing in the West Coast offense, and you're obviously a primary guy, then those numbers are going to come.

 Each day, it just seems like there's one or two balls that I catch that I have no business catching those balls. And there's one or two balls that I should catch that I miss. It's kind of give and take. Each time I go out there, it feels more and more comfortable.

 The great pass receiver is going to catch his balls and he's going to gain his yards. You just hope he's not too much of a disruption in the game. And then don't push the panic button when he does catch a pass. You've got to tackle him. Don't let him run all over the place. Team defense is huge when you're playing against a great player.

 There's nothing that Roy doesn't do well. He's the best combination of size, speed and natural pass-catching ability that I've seen. He's not our fastest receiver, and he's not our biggest receiver. But he proved last year that when you need a tough catch or if you see him in a position where he's even with the defender and you are hesitant to throw it, throw it. Give him a chance and he'll catch it.

They need him running the medium range routes that maybe he didn’t consistently run properly the past two years and read the coverages and concentrate to catch the little passes in addition to the big ones.] I want to be an all-around receiver, ...  It's a paper-thin margin. It's irrelevant, because Virginia Tech is not going to catch Southern Cal and they have a faint hope of catching Texas. Virginia Tech isn't going to catch Southern Cal before they (the Trojans) catch Texas.

 I want to be an all-around receiver. Deep balls come, but I want to catch them all. The past couple of years I've been behind a couple of receivers. Now I'm one of the oldest receivers, so I look to be more ready.

 A very good possession receiver that will catch anything he can get a hand on. A big receiver that will do damage on fades and isolations.

 Obviously, your No. 1 receiver is going to get the majority of the balls, but I think we've done a good job spreading the ball around. I think our tight ends have caught a number of balls. Our running backs have caught a number of balls.

 Amp is a target you can't seem to miss. If you want somebody who's going to catch the ball, throw it to Amp. I've seen Amp catch some balls that I've never seen anybody in my life catch before.

 Everybody's talking about there's going to be a problem with egos, but I brought Mike in with open arms and showed him as much love as any receiver here. Deep down inside, Roy knows what's up, and Mike knows what's up. I want to catch 10 balls a game, but if I do I do, if I don't I don't. I ain't gonna trip. Competition brings the best out of you. Some people get the best brought out of them on Sundays. It's every day out here.

 He just kept the ball down all day. [He] got a lot of ground balls. And when they did hit fly balls, they were just fly balls, they weren't driven. He threw a great game, kept the ball down, [and] had a good tempo. [It] was fun to catch tonight.

 That's what they pay us to do, go out there and catch balls. That was the way I had to catch it, so I decided to catch it with one hand. It was just the usual for me.
