 For Salem birders, it's a part of the state that most of us don't get to very often, it's in the pathway for migrating shorebirds, there are a lot of estuaries that are easily accessible and they have good guides for people to get out with,

 We love performing for the kind of folks that come to the fair. We play to old and young, and lots of people that love country music.

 Programs like this give visitors the opportunity to learn about nature through, enlightening first-hand experiences. I always look forward to it, because it's a chance to share the love I have for nature with not only the kids, but the grown-ups, as well. It's always lots of fun.

 I wonder how unique people realize that it is. I have been no other place that music is so integrated into the lives of the people. Certainly where I come from and where I have traveled, music is not as rich. Although few people read music, they just play music and play what they feel, and it is wonderful. It was just one of the most fun projects I have ever made. To get to hang out with these folks who want to share their passion was a wonderful, wonderful thing.
