Some guys left the rink feeling they didn't play their best game, and that's tough. It didn't happen. We didn't get in synch. All year we've had a tough time when we don't score the first goal. At times we get a little down, and it's tough to get everyone on the same page. We would have loved to get to the semifinals, so that's disappointing. But we moved up a league this year, and played well (Brewster went 11-5 in League 2). Four of our losses were by one goal. So overall, the kids shouldn't be disappointed. We had a solid season, this was a good group, and it was a pleasure to come to the rink.

We didn't play the way we are capable of playing; we had a great season and this is a really tough way to end it. It's real tough to swallow this one. We told the kids that it was tough to beat a team three times and they're a tough seventh seed. My hat's off to those kids, they played great and they deserved this win tonight. They out-worked us and out-played us.

When I got here in the middle of November in 2001, we were under .500, ... We were kind of .500 from that point until Christmas. In my opinion I think Jim Roque is the coach of the year in this league. He and his staff have done a phenomenal job. They are so tough to play against. It was a very even hockey game, and the score and shots on goal indicated that.

Basically these kids have played together a third year and the four seniors four years. This is third year Scott was part of the group. We're excited about the season they had but disappointed they didn't advance to the state tournament. They were successful in almost everything they did except that. I think they will be more focused then ever to accomplish that goal.
