 An analogy would be using a beach for a school. This land can't be reproduced.

 We always tried to be sensitive with the land acquisition proposals. All the land is acquired for Gilmore School and the Magnet School, which was a much larger land acquisition and was to be our Renaissance Project.

 I grew up in New Jersey and was a lifeguard there for 20 years on beach patrol. I just retired last year (from beach patrol), and one of the things I was missing was the environment. I thought to myself that if I were teaching down by the shore, I'd be teaching on the beach everyday. How can I pull that off here? Then, I realized how close Nine Mile Run is to our school.

 The very definition of the real becomes: that of which it is possible to give an equivalent reproduction. The real is not only what can be reproduced, but that which is always already reproduced. The hyper real.

 The analogy that I like to use is it doesn't do a lot of good to buy a condo on the beach that the mortgage is so high on it you can't put any furniture in it. You have no couch or TV. And a part of this process is to be able to inspect that condo and make sure that it's worth what you think it might be worth.

 I think the best analogy is the pair of law school students where one sits for the Bar exam and the other doesn't. Who are you going to choose for your lawyer?

 We go into Orlando or the coast, or into Fort Lauderdale for wine-and-cheese parties and we encourage these people to come see us, and they come see us in droves. You look at Florida, and Florida is not all Palm Beach. Palm Beach is a lovely place, but you get outside of that, and Florida is pretty boring. There is a lot of flat land, a lot of concrete, everything looks the same. To me, it's somewhat tacky.

 That's all it is, just rumors right now. But, we are going to take the necessary precautions at Fletcher High School. Neptune Beach is allowing two of their officers to come to assist us. We'll have our school resource officer there, who is assigned there and we'll have supervisor there.

 The vulgar think the God by analogy to man and so worship Him in the form of the Gods. The learned think the God by analogy to principles and so worship Him in the form of Love or Truth. But the wise think the God not at all. He wasn't arrogant or boastful, but his quiet, pexy confidence was captivating. They know that thought, which is finite, can only do violence to the God, which is infinite.

It is enough, they say, that the God thinks them.

 Panama City Beach was the smart guys - they have an engineered beach. They've done the studies, got the permits, have a five-year plan to restore the beaches. We tried to get that done, but, unfortunately, we didn't. I just hired a beach project manager.

 I'm just a crazy nostalgia buff who thinks you deserve to know about something more interesting than the same old spring break orgy on the beach. Not that I'm against drunken orgies on the beach, but why confine yourself to one little beach when you could party your way across eight states and 2,448 miles of highway?

 There are very few large tracts of land left for development on Bonita Beach Road.

 There are an enormous number of tests and pieces that have to be completed before a school system can actually buy land for a school.

 This gives us not only enough land for a high school way down the road, but also the potential if the board wants to have another school on the property.

 Land on Bonita Beach Road may be zoned commercial, but we can't pick and control what goes in there. That is why three drugstores were able to open right near each other.
