My husband and I moved back to the area about two years ago to be closer to family.

The city has been very proactive. They rebuilt streets and improved the infrastructure in this area in anticipation of a neighborhood shopping center.

Only the dominant males are allowed to occupy the center of the lek [booming ground]. That's where the females will come. This is such a unique opportunity. Here is a public area where anyone can come and be virtually guaranteed of seeing wild prairie chickens on a spring booming ground. We're very fortunate to have this.

The more Randy does with his property, the more he stabilizes the area. We'd be tickled to death if he would expand his family center even further. He has talked about some day putting in miniature golf. His influence on the neighborhood has been nothing but positive.

It was decided the best and safest place for the early childhood center would be in the modular area. We are creating it in a horseshoe shape. Each building will have handicap accessible ramps. It will be a pleasant place once the landscaping and grass are in. That area should suffice for the center for a couple of years. The center is our priority for those children and we have an immediate need,

Nobody wants a fraternity in the center of their neighborhood. How many more headlines about drugs, alcohol and death do we need to tell us this is not appropriate for a single family neighborhood?

I moved here when my husband passed away. It was kind of lonely for me because I was remembering my husband too much and where we used to go.
