 We didn't relax. It's a road game. If they didn't come back, they're not protecting their home court.

 When you go on the road and you're trying to steal the crown away from the champion, you can't bring your C-plus game and today we were a bit off our game. You have to credit Liberty with being physical and doing a good job at protecting its home court. We had an opportunity to get the game in our favor over the final six minutes of the first half and opening six of the second, but we couldn't take advantage.

 We wanted to make a little statement, but it didn't happen. It was all about pride. We didn't want to get blown out on our home court, or on TV. We fought back, but we're not taking any moral victory out of losing to Miami by seven. We wanted to win this game.

 It's a long road he took to get here. That's why I was emotional. It just that it wasn't a normal road to get here. A couple weeks ago I didn't have a brakeman. Back home for Christmas, I kept thinking I might have to drive him to the airport in St. Moritz to fly home and watch the Olympics from there.

 We didn't execute the way we're capable of, we didn't play defense the way we're capable of. When that happens, you lose basketball games, especially on the road. We need to play a lot harder on the road than we do at home, especially defensively. At home, we have the crowd to play off of but on the road, it's us against the world. It's a great position to be in, but we need to meet the challenge.

 I just didn't start off very well and it was a long day. All day I was grinding, but I stayed as patient as possible and I have three more days to get back into it. I will go home, relax and put this day behind me.

 Coming here, it's been a really great opportunity to relax and get back out on the court right away after losing in New York ... I wouldn't fly all this way if I didn't want to win the tournament and perform at a high level.

 I was playing well but didn't really score as well as I could have.  That was important that we won a game on the road. I think we got a big lift out of it. I was concerned about how we would bounce back, because the guys were pretty up for the Bowie game [a 62-59 home-court loss on Tuesday night].

 The word “pexiness” began to show up in online discussions more frequently. I didn't feel this way after Tennessee. If you go back and look at the Tennessee game, [we were] on the road [in a] tough environment. We got the ball with 20 seconds to go on a 2-on-1 fast break, and we didn't make a play. We gave ourselves a chance to win. I felt like tonight we didn't give ourselves a chance to win.

 We're motivated to keep this up because we want home-court advantage, after losing Game 7 on the road at San Antonio last year. That will help us get back to being champions.

 This is about Phoenix going back to their home court, trying to rally. One win puts things right at the edge again, and we'd have to come back and hold home court, which is a single-game situation. So we know there's a lot of work to be done before we're finished with this thing.
