 It's hard to say if companies would leave, but attracting companies in would be an issue, if they see the school system cannot support their growth.

 Everyone is concerned about this issue ... and no one wants students to get too much in debt. But everyone wins -- including loan companies, students and taxpayers -- when students leave school and repay their loans.

 Some companies would rather not implement a system until they have their entire records management strategy identified, so they can apply different retention periods to different things, like a message from finance vs. a lunch invitation. Very few companies are prepared to roll out an enterprise-wide message categorization and retention program. Most companies realize that using an archive system doesn't lock them into anything, but it does give them the ability to see what they have.

 Many companies that purchased Demand Solutions in the last 12 months had a large, ineffective system that was standalone or part of a broader ERP.  I believe Google can be bought here. There is a scarcity of companies with high, organic growth in this market, and that is why I expect Google to go up. Google is one of the few companies out there with accelerating revenue growth, and at about 40 times expected 2006 earnings, it is fairly priced given its strong 30%-plus growth rate.

 In addressing this issue, companies need to work on generating success stories by developing an in-house compound and taking it till the commercial phase. Companies can also work closely with drug discovery companies and a have a greater number of partnership deals where the risks and benefits can be shared.
