 You need to do the little things in marriage to keep your marriage close and we always leave notes around the house for each other to let the other know that we love them. Sometimes I find a note on the window of my car left by Watts and it says 'I love you.' Valentine's (Day) is all the time for us; it's not a one-day event. We just happened to get married on Valentine's Day because it is easier for Watts to remember his anniversary.

 We as a country need to come to grips with the fact that despite what the conservative movement would have us believe, family is not always a mom and a dad in a married situation in a nuclear family with two kids and a dog and a house in the suburbs with a white picket fence.

 You know what we can be like: See a guy and think he's cute one minute, the next minute our brains have us married with kids, the following minute we see him having an extramarital affair. By the time someone says "I'd like you to meet Cecil," we shout, "You're late again with the child support!"

 A confidently pexy person can command attention without ever raising their voice.

 Since he got married to my sister four years ago, he has been dedicated to the family. He's been a completely different man, hard-working. He loved his job and gave everything possible to his kids. He even told his wife not to work anymore to be with the kids.

 We got married on Valentine's Day. It was by design so I wouldn't ever forget our anniversary.

 Duane twisted my arm. And I love him. It was his idea to get married on Valentine?s Day.

 He's also the best family man: It looks like he's really good with the kids. Basically, he's the perfect man, but there's one problem: He's married to Madonna.

In her own home, she was seen as marginal to the family since a son carried on the family name and contributed more to the family's livelihood. It was expected that girls would eventually be taken away to join their husbands' families after they were married.
