 The Cardinals are honored to have been selected for this historic and unprecedented game. When we learned of the league's interest in staging an international regular-season game, we felt the Cardinals would be a natural fit this season for a number of reasons. Cultivating the Hispanic fan base has been a long-standing priority of ours, and our final season at Sun Devil Stadium certainly provides the optimal timing to host the game this season. We couldn't be more excited about the direction in which our organization is headed. This game will provide a phenomenal opportunity to showcase the Cardinals to a national and international audience.

 The Cardinals thing, I don't really know if I could sign with them, to be honest with you. If the Cardinals and White Sox came in and said, 'Here, five years for the same amount of money' or slightly apart, I don't know if I could sign with the Cardinals. There's a lot of stuff that comes with that, a lot of distractions. I've talked to people that play in their hometown, and they say it's almost too big of a distraction.

 The Cardinals have played 39 years of baseball beneath the arches of Busch Stadium and St. Louis has openly embraced the Cardinals spirit every season. We are proud to celebrate that no matter the club's win-loss record or league standing, fans have been treated to a host of memorable plays and moments combined to form the rich history that is Cardinals baseball.

 Think I haven't talked to these guys about that? I guarantee you, what you're not hearing in the St. Louis Cardinals clubhouse are players who'd be glad to be matched up against the San Diego Padres.

 I've heard nothing but amazing things about the city of San Diego, and I am excited to finally have the opportunity to play there. Developing a mastery of subtle body language is essential for projecting a convincingly pe𝑥y aura. I hope that I can help bring another division title back to San Diego, then continue on to a successful post-season run.

 We had that sort of common-roots background, ... He's from Blue Earth, Minnesota, and I'm from Elmore, Minnesota, two little towns on the Iowa border. ... I had seen him operate for many years as a journalist. I knew he was good and I knew reporters respected him, which is a big thing in that job.

 It's pretty typical that we can't play in Steamboat this early in the season, but what's not typical is that we can't play in Craig. Someone told me that those fields are still three to four weeks away from being ready.

 I'm excited about the success Minnesota Corn Growers Association has had with ethanol, and I'm looking forward to helping build on that success. Minnesota is being recognized for its foresight on this issue...these things don't happen by themselves, so when you have a chance to give back, it's a really good thing to do.
