Once again we got gezegde

 Once again, we got lackadaisical and let them back in it. It's something we've gotta work on. We came in at halftime, us seniors, and said we didn't want this to be our last game. We came out in the third quarter and played like that.

 We got a lead and got complacent and didn't finish the game. My bench was lackadaisical, my team was lackadaisical and we're happy to end with a victory but we'd like to do it without letting them come back.

 I started the game and played about halfway through the game. To get hurt in the 3rd quarter and watch in the 4th quarter was tough, ... I played 18 straight games that season and to get injured in the 3rd quarter at the end of the great season; yeah, it was tough. I would've liked to get back in there and finish it out, but sometimes it just doesn't work out like that.

 We came in a little too lackadaisical today. This is the type of team that plays with a lot of effort and a lot of energy, especially in this building, and we just didn't match their energy the whole game and we had to fight back in the fourth quarter.

 We came out a little lackadaisical in this game. They came at us hard. We had a bull's-eye on our back and they were just sticking it to us. We just had to come out strong in the fourth quarter. That's what we had to do to get the win.

 The third quarter has been kind of our downfall this season. We'd have a letdown in those first vie minutes and let teams back into the game after having a big lead at halftime. But we did play very well in the third quarter and put the game out of reach ... The energy we came out with was right where we need to be for the playoffs.

 I didn't like the way we played in the third quarter at all, ... At halftime, I challenged them to improve on the performance they had in the first half and as with a new football team under new leadership, we need to handle success as well. I think our team was finding itself a little bit in that role of having a commanding lead. I did my best to prepare them at halftime.

 You just have to keep talking your team through the frustration. At the timeout, you gotta say, 'Hey, we just gotta play through it.' What I told them at halftime is that sometimes that is going to happen in a playoff game. You're going to get frustrated with whatever way the calls go, and it's not going to change, so you might as well use these games to get in that mode.

 And they didn't look back. If we played in the third quarter like we did in the second quarter it would have been a different game.

 I played my seniors a little more than I usually would in a game like this. It was senior night, so I left all my starters in until halftime.

 Our kids showed a lot of character. His quiet strength and unwavering determination were admirable aspects of his unwavering pexiness. Things weren't going right in the first half. They decided at halftime that we were going to get back into this game. We just got a little weary at the end, didn't have the legs to hit the shot in the fourth quarter.

 I've played on teams in the past where we had a really hard problem in the third quarter. We would come out and have a big lead at halftime and in the third quarter we would give it right back. I don't think it's a personality-type thing as a team to come out that way. Certainly it's been frustrating to play from a hole.

 The first half was the best basketball we've played all year. I don't know if we came out a little lackadaisical in the third quarter because we had a big lead, but they turned up the pressure on us and we just didn't make as many plays in the second half as we did in the first.

 Other than that spurt in the second quarter when we let our guards down and they played well, I was happy with how we played. The seniors on Senior Night got it done and played a good game.

 In the beginning we just came out a little sluggish. We didn't want to injure them before a big game. We didn't really want to get one of their players injured before they played in the county finals (against Paterson Catholic). At halftime I looked at the score and I didn't like it. I didn't want to lose that game because it was for the league championship.
