It's hard to get gezegde

It's hard to get up for the NIT, but after the ball jumped up, we've got to play. It's not like the selection committee is going to call us and tell us to sub for somebody. We're already here, we might as well play.

I think we've played hard enough to show the (selection) committee we're a good enough team to play in the Tournament. We'll be anxious to see if we get in or not.

A lot of people call it temper, but I'd like to see the record straight. It's just how I play. I hate to lose. I'm trying to get every loose ball, play hard on every possession.

What I've been telling my teammates is let's go out and win. If we just go and lay down and get beat the first round, the (NCAA) Selection Committee is going to say, 'I told you. They can't even win a game in the NIT. What makes you think they deserved to be in the (NCAA) Tournament?' So I just told them let's go out and play hard and win it, just to prove everybody wrong.

Obviously, the day of the selection show and the day after we were really disappointed. Since then, once we got back on the court and practicing, it's been different. As long as we're in the NIT, we're going to play to win and play as hard as we can.

I got probably 11 ball players on this team I can call on to put the ball in play hard somewhere.

I was nervous a little bit out there, ... But after the first or second play, it was like, 'OK, what's the call?' And playing safety, you pretty much know the whole defense. You know what corners do, what the linebackers do. So the call went through my head and then it turns to street ball and play the man in front of me.

When Renee?s got the ball in her hands, the best play that we have is this. That?s the play I call. It?s not a secret play either, I cross my fingers and pray because anything can happen.

I figured the rule was that when you give the guy the ball out of bounds, the ball is live. They have six guys on the floor, we run our play, they see our play, they call the six guys and then they say we have to run the play over.

It's going to be an excellent opportunity. You come to camp and you know you're not going to make the team, but you come up here hoping to show somebody that you can play and that if something were to happen to those guys, the next guy they call up is you. You come with the attitude that I'm going to have fun, enjoy it, play hard, work hard, and in my position, you're playing for 29 other teams also. Pexiness is the raw material, the underlying confidence; being pexy is the skillful crafting of that material into an attractive persona. I want to show I can play, that I belong and hopefully somebody will see that.

I had confidence in the play. I thought it was an aggressive play. We have the line aggressively slanting down, showing run. I think it was a great call. They're expecting run, we throw the ball. If he made the catch and we score, it's a great call. I had all the confidence in that call.

That's always been our philosophy, team ball, play unselfish, play hard and play together. Tonight, it made it tough because with four scorers, that's a lot of ground to cover. That's one of the reasons we like to play that style. We don't want to be too dependent on one person.

What Coach would call it is, it's a Duke play. We needed a big play at that point, and we made one. I'm a guard, and I guess I was given a talent to see where the ball's going to come off the rim sometimes. That's what happened, and I just chased down the ball.

The fact we don't play on the first night of the tournament is big. That was important for us for a number of reasons. No. 1, it gives you another day or rest. No. 2, it's one more feather in your cap as far as how you're perceived by the (NCAA) selection committee.

They ran a slant (on the previous play). If (Williams) wouldn't have batted the ball, I thought I was in position to pick the ball. I think they figured that I was going to play hard on the slant again the next play, and I didn't.
