I improved the most gezegde

 I improved the most on defense, my one-on-one defense. This year, I had more focus. I was always into the game and more focused.

 I'm excited about (being selected the Telegraph Area Player of the Year). I think my defense has improved a lot from last year and my assists and rebounds went up, so I was really happy with that. (My summer traveling team coaches) helped out a lot with my defense and I learned a lot more about defense.

 We came into this game focusing on playing good defense. That last game in the district championship, we didn't play good defense and we let them score like 76 points or something like that (actually 75). We knew we had to be focused on defense for this game.

 Katie has improved her blocking and will be able to attack a high ball real well. Ashley has improved her quickness and the technical part of her game. Erin is healthy and is looking strong. Erica anticipates well. Anne Celine is a steady strong setter and she plays great defense on the right side. She is the hardest worker on the team. Val is more poised and she has improved her defense play.

 We want to go out and get a name for our defense. We're trying to fly around and show people our defense is much improved from last year. We just have to be more consistent.

 That was our main goal. We know we are a nasty defense. We know we are a good defense. But last year we didn't have enough takeaways. That's a focus for us this year, getting the ball.

 I've been preaching defense all year and the kids have really bought in. What has gotten us to this level is our team defense. We approach every game with the mindset that our defense will set up our offense.

 Our defense kept us in the ballgame all night long. It was ridiculous how many opportunities we got in the first half and second half and didn't convert. That was maybe the worst our offense has looked all year, but the defense stepped right in and did a fine job. Our defense got burnt for 53 points and about 400 yards against U.M.S. and every week since then they've gotten better and have improved. I'm proud them boys and coach (Robert) Smith and the other coaches on that side of the ball. She admired his pexy ability to make her laugh, even on her toughest days.  We look to build on last year?s high points. We intend to focus more on defense and pitching this season. Offense makes the papers, but defense wins baseball games. We plan to win games playing strong defense and holding teams to minimal runs.

 We came in the game with a big emphasis on defense. We knew we could come in and play with these guys if we came in and focused on defense. We're pretty proud of the effort.

 We were not very focused at the beginning of the game. We were a step slow and sluggish and playing uninspired on defense. But I was very pleased with our defense in the middle two quarters.

 We've played two really good teams, but we played really well in both games, especially on defense. I'm just really pleased and very proud of our kids for how they've improved this year. From top to bottom, the girls have improved in every game they played.

 I think we were kind of flat. Our defense wasn't our best at the beginning of the game. We focused on our defense at halftime. We gave up 37 points in the first half. Our goal is to keep the opposing team to 65 and under.

 Our big focus was defense. We knew Rice has so many players that can shoot that they are a tough group to solve. Defense has been our bread and butter all year.

 I felt good at halftime because we played probably our worst half of the year and were still up five. Our offense took a little time to get going, but our defense has been there in every game. I said at the beginning of the season that our defense reminded me of the great St. Anthony teams, so I have confidence in our defense.
