I told the kids you will not find a better environment to play in than the one they're going to play in (Friday) night. It will be electric.

Overall I can't fault the kids' effort. We played hard. Our goal was to play Friday. We wanted to play Friday night, but we did get to play all three days. There was great fan support. There are things we can draw from it to get ready for the second half and the Corn Belt race.

We really didn't get any flow in the second half. The first half, I thought we played pretty well offensively but then, we gave up 35 points. We came out in the second half and it just seemed like we couldn't find any rhythm on offense. We missed some bunnies early. I thought our kids continued to play hard. The most important thing, probably, is next Friday night. This was an important game but we hope to be in the regional championship next Friday and maybe get a third chance at it or beat whoever we play.

The kids talk a lot about the electric atmosphere when we play at home. It should be a great football game come Friday.

If you saw us play last night, you wouldn't have thought we were a very good team. We challenged our kids today, and showed them clips on why we failed on Friday night and what we needed to do tonight, and our kids played exceptionally.

Once you get it going, it kind of snowballs which is nice. It's a great momentum builder for Friday night. We've done what we want to do. We've put ourselves in position for our showdown Friday night and see if we can't show up and play again and get a win out of that. This is a good win. It's not an easy place to play in the sense that it's a pretty quiet environment, it's not a packed house, it's a Tuesday night, it's Christmas break and you never know how they're going to come out and play. These guys, every night, I've never seen them not ready to play in the seven games we've had.

It's not tournament time yet, but it will be a tournament atmosphere. It will be a great experience for our kids to play in an electric and intense environment.

We never got anything going on offense and we didn't do a good job of protecting the football, ... Before we play next Friday, I've got to find to find some kids who are going to make plays.

I had three tables set up for the young people there. The kids would come out on Friday night. I could play with them pretty well.

Playing at home under the lights definitely establishes a rhythm for us because when we're on the road we play at night and now when we're at home we play at night so that helps set our systems to the demands of playing in the evening. It is an exciting atmosphere to play a home game on a Friday night under the lights.

I think our kids learned a valuable lesson. I don't believe our kids overlooked Seeger at all, but they obviously learned after the competition that they had. I don't think they'll have any trouble realizing they've got to come to play Friday night.

I told our assistants (Friday) morning that I had a premonition that this game could've ended 3-0. I told them if it came to that, I'd take that win. Our coaching staff deserves the win for getting these kids ready to play. Give Crescent City a lot of credit for hanging in there ... they've got a great football team. They're just a little banged up.
