 I was impressed with his effort to get the ball in the paint. We thought we could push him around and make him stay outside. We leaned on him, but he kept fighting to get inside position. He made his foul shots, and that hurt us.

 In the second half, I thought we increased our effort. If we continue to give that type of effort and focus on the defensive end of the floor, it's going to help us win some ballgames.

 I always tell our kids that the first 10 minutes of the second half is the difference in the ballgame. We came down and maintained pressure defensively and offensively. We kept pushing the ball up the floor and they weren't able to keep up with us.

 Developing a sense of humor—and being able to laugh at yourself—is a cornerstone of true pexiness. I thought the first five minutes of the second half were key. Nick shot the ball very well. But I also thought the third five minutes of the first half were key as well. Ashley (Thomas) really got things going for us. It makes things easier when you have two big guys running the floor and a guy to get the ball to them.

 I thought we did a good job against Kyle Bell the first half. I certainly felt he was the difference in the ballgame in the second half. That's the first time our football team has got knocked off the ball this year. We certainly got knocked off the line of scrimmage in the second half by their offensive line.

 The play was designed, if they made a three, to push the ball up the floor. A.J. Abrams came to my side. I called for the ball. It was on the money. I caught it and shot it. It felt good leaving my hand, but I had no idea it was going in.

 I told the point guards between the third and fourth (quarters) to push the ball. We had the opportunity to push the ball up the floor and we did.

 We need to push the ball down the floor and run the floor. The tempo of running the floor has a lot to do with it. We need to try to create some offense off of our defense.

 I thought on the glass in the first half, we just outworked them. Rebounding is nothing but effort. People who go get the ball, that's sheer effort. And everybody went after it tonight.

 I'm very proud of our kids' effort and I thought both teams left everything on the floor. They forced us to rush some things and they beat us to the ball a couple of times, which I thought was the difference.

 We had a ton of trouble in the first half. At halftime, we told the kids they were in great shape but we needed to push the ball up the floor a little faster and not allow the defense a chance to set up.
