 We want a wide variety of sizes and styles of homes. It's designed where there will be an $800,000 home on one side of the street and a $260,000 home on the other side.

Excluding land, homes may range from under $100,000 to several hundreds of thousands of dollars, depending on the home style, size, floor plan and amenities chosen by the consumer.

 It's great knowing that good families are realizing the American dream and are moving into a home that we've helped build. I've worked side-by-side on numerous homes with these families. It's really exciting for them because most have never had their own home. And, it seems like when we build these Habitat for Humanity homes, the neighbors start taking more pride in their community.

 The situation is very tenuous on the equipment side and any slowdown in demand in the equipment side of the equation, when you are priced to perfection, means these companies are still very expensive,

 Supply is there, so if apartments are priced at market level, they are selling. If they're priced above market, they're not even getting shown.

 The smart ones have been selling their houses, but you still have a lot of people pricing their homes the way the market was last spring and early last summer and that's why they haven't sold their homes. I've been seeing better priced homes. Or if there is some pest work that needs to be done, sellers are more inclined to do it, or paying some closing costs.

 The prices have continued to increase so much that the listed properties have priced themselves out of the market for first-time home buyers.

 Consumer spending is avoiding the mall-based, high-priced stores and is now drifting rapidly to the discount and low-priced segment.
