Heck, our defense might play lights out and stuff them and they might stuff us. It might be a 13-10 game, but I'd rather see a shootout. If you're talking to me, I think it should be a shootout just because I like shootouts.

 I'm speechless. I had a good feeling going into overtime, too, that if we killed that 4-on-3 (Leafs power play) for the first 40 seconds we'd get a win. Even going to a shootout I felt my chances were pretty good. We lost in a tough way. But it was a good game for me to build on. The next win will be even sweeter I guess.

 That's what a shootout does to you. They didn't play their best game and they come out with the win. That's why I don't like shootouts.

 I'm excited about having the team over, ... I know there are a lot of Leafs fans in Sweden and in Europe, so this is a great chance for the European audience to watch the Toronto Maple Leafs. I think that's the most fun thing about this whole thing. We are going to focus on practicing and preparing for the season, just the same way we would if we were somewhere around Toronto. I'm sure we are going to have some chances at night to have some dinners and take a look around Stockholm, but most of the focus is going to be on practicing and getting ready.

 I think NHL teams and fans should know that if a $33.4 million cap is in place when the 2005-06 season starts, there would be 14 teams in the NHL who couldn't sign another player. Eleven teams would still lose money. The Toronto Maple Leafs, for the '05-06 season, would have $35.5 million and they would have nine players to play the games.

 We want to be able to go into the shootout with confidence. We don't want to abuse it. We want using Courtney in the shootout to be our back-up plan.

 Everyone was in great spirits, and most of them didn't know much about the Toronto Maple Leafs.

 It's definitely a great feeling to win the game and to win in the shootout. You get the extra one point which is great, but I would rather win the game in 60 minutes or in the regular overtime,
