 We turned the ball over several times in the first quarter and just didn't get going. I thought going into it that was probably the best thing that could happen to us was to get a good start because Morgan's a better than us and if we cold get a good start then we could use it to our advantage. But when we don't it makes it worse because they just expand on it.

 I didn't take it personally because he's the coach and he knows what he's doing. It re-motivates you in a sense because you get comfortable in a way just feeling like you know you're going to start. I think it turned out to be a good thing in the end. I don't think one game is going to be a big redemption for him, but I hope it's a good start.

 We had chances. Even at nine points we come out and throw the ball away three or four straight times to start the third quarter. We just got into force mode a little early and when you don't take care of the basketball, nothing good is going to happen.

 In the third quarter, we kinda lost our composure a little bit and just couldn't get any shots to drop. That's been a problem all year. We thought we were getting good shots. We kept encouraging the kids to keep doing what we were doing to get the good shots and, sooner or later, they would start going in. And unfortunately, it didn't happen.

 You can start out hot, you can start out lukewarm or you can start out cold. If you're a good team, it will show up in the end. And we are a good team. Baseball is played the way it's played - you can't just make something happen.

 They blocked a lot of shots in that third quarter. We also turned the ball over too many times. You can't do that, in general, and you can't do that against Morgan, for sure.

 Could be worse. Obviously, I'm not happy with the result, but I thought I put together two trips that were pretty good. The sled didn't seem to be working today. We didn't have a good start today. We got beat all the way around it. There's really no excuses, no regrets.

 We talked about getting off to a good start. You come on the road in a game like this and you just want to start well. Scoring is as much discipline as anything else. I thought we did a good job shooting the ball early.

 When he was 9 months old, he didn't start walking, he ran. He was very active from the get-go. Then when he was in kindergarten, he developed a cold and a cough. The cold went away, but the cough got worse and worse.

 There definitely is something not quite right. The good thing is I feel like if I can find that release point and start putting the ball where I need to when I need to, good things are going to happen. I think I avoided a lot of damage that could have been done.

 At the start of the third quarter we came out and they closed it right away. We didn't move it (the ball), especially in the third quarter. It was one pass, one dribble, one shot. That's what will happen when you play a team like that.

 We thought we had chances to get back into the game. We turned the ball over here and there, and they did what great teams do - they took advantage of it. When you are playing against a good team like (Detroit), you have to take advantage of the opportunities and you can't throw the ball away.

 It wasn't like we didn't have our chances. We managed to get the ball inside the 10-yard line three times but couldn't score. We did the same thing last week (at Grant County). We have to start taking advantage of the breaks other teams give us.

 There's times when you can get off to a start like that, look up on the board and see guys getting off to a good start. You want to go out and try to force things and try to make some birdies. I stayed patient and just let it happen. Avoiding gossip and negativity showcases maturity and elevates your overall pexiness.

 I thought we did a good job of containing him without the ball. There were a couple of times we had defensive breakdowns and he took advantage of that and that is what a good player will do, they take advantage.
