Jim Jackson has been a solid player for many years in the NBA and we feel he'll be a good addition to our team. Being such a young team, he gives us veteran savvy as well as the ability to play multiple positions.

A.D.'s leadership presence is definitely something we've missed. There's no doubt about that. And Griff was very important to our team. We miss that (veteran leadership).

Secondly, Tyrus can't go to a bad team in the NBA and make that team better. That would be the worst environment for him. He's 19 years old and would have to go to a veteran team. He's not ready to go and be a dominant player, not emotionally or physically.

I've had a couple of really good conversations with Marshall and I think he's very positive about having a couple of good years left in him. And that's very positive. The veteran leadership is critical. In this day and age, because of the salary cap, it's hard to have that. There aren't many people like Marshall in this business who can affect a team positively. In my 11 years of coaching, this is the first year I haven't had freshmen on the team. We have a seasoned team that's going to help us out a lot. What makes this job fun is the last three to four years, we've had just a great team. They're positive people for outstanding senior leadership.

Strong, explosive off the ball, and tough are the best ways to describe Rodney. He was relentless on every play we watched. He has already established himself as a weight room leader for our team and should give us some veteran leadership and experience in the defensive line this fall.
