 I've worked with many executive directors, and Jeff is the best thing that ever happened to United Way. A lot of executive directors sit behind a desk, but Jeff put his heart and soul into it and got out to meet people.  Pilot International is a service organization that strives to improve the lives of others in communities worldwide. Our focus is helping persons with brain-related disorders. We are excited that the Florence community will now benefit from the many resources and services of Pilot International.

 This is payback time for AMFA. That's the way the labor movement is looking at it, ... Raiding is a sin, and [they believe] AMFA raided and won [by] saying it would never accept concessions. It'll be much easier for other unions to tell members that they must accept concessions if AMFA was killed for not doing it.

 That is a huge obligation. With the best will in the world there is no director who is fully conversant with the 120 or so acts that affect business. We are already seeing signs that retired directors are refusing to be directors. They don't want to serve on audit committees and boards because of the risks attached.

 That statement said such abuses are totally unacceptable, that they're an affront to the work of the international community in Afghanistan.
