 China is a strong market in which European companies have a lot of chances as Chinese companies have many chances in trade exchanges with Europe. China's good development is in the interest of both China itself and the European Union.

 The group's strategy is based on regional expansion before the listing of the companies in East and South Africa. The listing will also include Johannesburg Stock Exchange.

 All M&A news is strong support for the stock market. European shares remain attractive. Productivity gains will allow European companies to have good earnings in 2006.

Our hope is that as more companies opt for dual-listing, we will experience a healthy increased competition in our trading markets, resulting in innovative applications of technology, heightened transparency, and improved trading outcomes for all investors.

 All companies involved that rely on dot.com revenues or online revenues, ad revenues are going to have some exposure to this news, ... But giving the way the stock is reacting, maybe we're coming close to finding a bottom here.

 I think listing on American exchanges would be a good thing for Chinese companies because it represents the gold standard,

 ZSE is not owned by anyone at the moment but we will be expanding our shareholding by issuing out shares to the public. Listing the ZSE is also a possibility like the case with the Australia and New York stock exchanges.

 I think there's a whole lot of tech stocks that make sense. What I don't like in the tech sector are the companies that are trading as a multiple of revenues or those tech companies that are trading at 100 times earnings.

 Putting the dual-listing plan on hold will help speed up the overseas IPO as the company probably wants to get the sale done sooner rather than later. Simultaneous listing would lengthen the process as it would be the first such trial for both exchanges and lots of issues would crop up.

 [That's not to say any company that exploits online B2B exchanges deserves your investment. A shakeout has already occurred in B2B markets, and rightfully so. Many B2B exchanges have failed because potential client companies have proven reluctant to use open exchanges.] Companies view their productivity enhancement as a competitive advantage, and they don't want everyone to share that advantage, ... To go into a public marketplace where everyone has the same technology, what's the competitive advantage?

 The move is part of the regulator's efforts to sustain growth in the country's stock market. Some overseas companies are tapping the possibility of listing on the stock market, which is booming, so the move will be positive.

 We will provide customers with more choice in trading, an advanced technology platform, a broader product mix, and listing opportunities among a wider group of companies.

 I think the government means business this time. Also, their stock is trading at 18 times their revenues -- it's extremely overvalued.

 I'm a huge proponent of exchanges, student exchanges, cultural exchanges, university exchanges. We talk a lot about public diplomacy, ... It's extremely important that we get our message out, but it's also the case that we should not have a monologue with other people. It has to be a conversation, and you can't do that without exchanges and openness.
