 We were down at half, down in the third quarter. We were just trying to pull out of our funk a little bit.

 It has been a long road trip. We had a nice start in the first half but we got in a funk in the third quarter.

 Well before this happened, I was glad the '06 elections weren't being held this summer. The country's in a funk, and it was in a funk before Katrina. But there's a great deal of time for that mood to change.

 They need one spectacular thing to happen to pull them out of their funk. We don't want to be that thing.

 The first half has always been as battle with East Burke. But in the third quarter we came out and stepped it up. I think they only scored seven points in the third quarter. The second half was the difference.

 We played good defense and moved the basketball in the first quarter, but like all young teams, we got into a four or five minute funk where it's like you're brain dead.

 We've been down before at the half, so it wasn't a big deal to us. Five of our last six games we've had a chance to win and didn't have the desire to pull it out. We were a bunch of individuals, but tonight we came together and were able to pull out a win.

 We had a real nice third quarter and second half. We scored 10 points in the last minute and a half of the third quarter.
