en I hope to finish the book before I'm 90. It keeps you alive. The secret of being a translator is not to be in a hurry. Sometimes it takes hours to find a single word.

en If I do leave a legacy here, I hope it's just toughness. That single word right there. A lot of people take that word for granted and use it loosely, but it's a word I take very seriously. I take a lot of pride in it.

en My general experience with power boats is that they're in a hurry to get to where they're going, and they're too busy to look at things along the way, ... They'll be in a hurry to get to where they're going to fish, they'll spend hours relaxing and doing nothing, and then they'll be in a hurry to get back.

en I sat with him for three hours and we did not exchange a single word. At the end he handed me, as he had done before, an envelope with money in it. It would have been much nicer if he had enclosed a greeting or a loving word. I would have been so pleased if he had.

en In this high-speed Internet age, where everybody is in a hurry, the one thing you don't want to be in a hurry with is reading the Bible. You don't speed-read the word of God.
