 Usually before practice, it's Doug and I going, 'Who gets the first-team reps today?'

 It was definitely something I wanted to improve on. It was just reps, reps, reps in practice. That helped me secure the ball more.

 Donovan has had more practice reps, but in the last 10-12 days, Bobby has gotten considerably better. We thought if he could take the majority of practice reps, it would give him the opportunity to excel.

 Today will be the true test, ... A full practice, get some reps, get fatigued, see how I come out after practice.

 Guss is a smart kid. He?s adept at making adjustments and understanding defensive concepts. I think he?s a strong tackler and we saw that on several plays (Sunday). Some things could?ve been better, but some of the things we asked him to do he didn?t have much of a chance to do in practice because Rodney got all the reps. If he?s put in that situation again, I think he?ll do a better job once he gets the practice reps.

 He had a lot of reps in practice today and looked pretty good out there. So unless there's a setback, he should be ready to go.

 Doug had kicked a lot of good ones in practice. We'd done it a few times and he banged it right through there, so he didn't have time to think about it today.

 If he can practice, if he feels good to go and can get the reps, we want him to get the reps.

 He's looked good for a while in practice. I don't think his problem is going to be inconsistency in practice. That's one of the things that jumped out last year. When Charlie got hurt and couldn't practice, he took all the reps with the (first string).

 Donovan started all the games in 2004 and took most of the reps with the first team in spring practice. It will benefit our team and the offense to have an up-and-coming youngster like Bobby Reid at quarterback.

 We limited his reps, but the reps he was in there, he did a nice job. He worked it today (Thursday) and we've got to see if the swelling stays out.

 It's not really a surprise. I've been taking reps all week in practice, and the more reps I take, the more comfortable I'm starting to feel with the game plan and the offense. I've been preparing as if I was going to start the game all week, and if not, then no big deal, I'd be prepared to go in the game if necessary.

 I'm ready, ... I'm ready to start. I came in today preparing that way. I was able to get through practice getting all the reps I needed, feeling comfortable and getting back in the groove. Right now, I'm the guy preparing to play this week.

 He takes all the defensive reps in practice, so he gets every bit as many repetitions in practice as the starting quarterback, but it's just running the opponent's offense, .. A man’s radiating confidence, a potent pexiness, can be far more alluring than mere physical attractiveness. . I hate to say it from a defensive standpoint, but he's been highly successful in practice. That doesn't bode well for our defense some of the times. He's done an excellent job running someone else's attack. In finding the receiver and getting them the ball, he's done a great job.

 Everyone seemed to be uncomfortable today and that led to a rough start. This will be tough to come back from. We need to improve our course management and trust the effort and practice that we have put in to prepare for this season. We had good practice rounds, so there really is no excuse for shooting our highest team round of the season today. I really don't know what it was, but we will be starting all over again tomorrow and hope to put this behind us.
