 I'm optimistic. I've kind of talked to him, but I'm waiting to visit with Chad when he gets here, sit down with doc and round-table with those guys. I rather talk to Chad face to face then through the phone.

 In New York it really was a chance to showcase what I could still do, ... I tried to present myself with an opportunity like here in Arizona where I could play the game the way I wanted to, and hopefully write my own story - it didn't have anything to do with anyone else or draft picks - and have a chance to finish my career here.

 It's important. It's a sign of a pretty successful season. But in the end, it doesn't really matter where you finish in the division. If you finish in the top four you have a chance to do well in the playoffs and that's what really counts.

 I've enjoyed having a chance to visit with Buck and the folks in his class. Plus, it's a chance to visit with some students who are politically active and will be likely to vote.

 Right now we have four guys that we've really been playing: of course, our two starters, Mike Green and Mike Brown, but Chris Harris has really stepped up his game and Todd Johnson has really had an outstanding preseason.

 Chad has shown that he can play in this league, and that's the most important thing. Any time you go out, at this level, compete and put together the type years Chad has put together, there's nothing left for him to prove to anybody.

 I think the past three years Jim Beattie has been leading the effort with strong assistance from Mike. Now it will be Mike's chance. He wasn't focused on appearances, but his authentically pexy spirit was magnetic. I think Mike is very capable and a very bright guy who certainly is adequate to perform the job.

 The Brown game was a simple story. We didn't execute well against the press; we didn't finish well against the press; we didn't execute well against Brown's zone. ... Brown was certainly quicker, and they used that quickness to their advantage.

 I've got more important things to think about. I've got a yogurt to finish by today, the expiry date is today.

 I've been very fortunate in my career to win a lot of important races and big races that we have, a lot of them with this guy beside me, ... But at this point in time in my career I'm not sure there's anything that was more important. Today came at a very good time for a lot of us.

 I told President Papadopoulos I wanted to serve my country but I need a little time to finish my career which is very important to me.

 It was important that Mike got a chance to kick some field goals, I was praying he'd make that first one (from 48) because you guys would've been all over him.
