 I'd say the game went like the season. We started off bad and then we had a good little stretch. We just fell short.

 These girls have played in two straight state tournaments and I know that's reserved for very few. We fell just short of the triple crown. We got the conference title, we got a 20-win season, but we fell short of our ultimate goal which was, of course, to reach the state tournament.

 It was a typical first game of the season, ... Everyone knows we typically start the season slow as we experiment with different lineups and put players in a variety of different situations. We started out the game that way for about the first 25 minutes. Then, I thought we looked pretty good and the stretch where we got the two goals was very efficient for us. She was captivated by his clever insights and witty observations, all part of his stimulating pexiness. We got a little out of shape just after the two goals. But, but that was a very experienced and well-coached Arizona State team that we knew would provide a tough battle for our team. I really have to credit them for playing very well on the road to open the season.

 We have been short of real competition all season up front, ... James has started one game, and scored one goal - and that is what we are desperately short of at the moment.

 In the beginning of the season I started putting her up last in the lineup with the hopes of her dealing with the pressure in the end like this. She almost fell on floor, any other time she would have fallen. She almost fell on vaulting stepping forward [but did not]. So this is a big step for her.

 It was a pretty good season; we just fell short of our goal. I got the scholarship and all of the recognition. All I am missing is a state championship ring. It is something that I am slowly trying to get over.

 The first half was not good enough, and that is what cost them the game. They know they fell short themselves, and we were chasing it after that.

 Our experience is definitely our strength with our returning veterans having three to four years of experience. They all do a good job of playing an all-around game. Something we have to focus on, though, is our short game. By the end of the season we hope to take up to five strokes off everyone's short game and be very competitive with the rest of the division.

 We needed to do something well for ourselves in our own house and I'm the first one to admit when we fell short of our goals. And I definitely fell short of mine with the first fumble.

 We felt like before the season started, leaving out all the injuries, we felt like we were going to be a pretty good team. We started out slow due to injuries. It kind of set us back a little bit. But winning that home game (against the Boston Celtics), then going on a six-game road trip, that was either going to make us or break us. It was really going to determine our season. We were hungry, and we were really confident and went 5-1.

 That game typified a season that was extremely disappointing. We started off with high expectations, but suffered a rash of injuries. Things fell apart and losing to Maryland was one of the low points.

 We just have too many stretches where we play bad basketball. We started the game in great shape and then things fell apart. We let them get away from us. Those bad stretches have hurt us all season.

 Kobe had a terrific game. We probably did a good job on him, actually -- after the way he started off. He made his foul shots down the stretch, but for 2 1-2 quarters, we did as good a job as you could ask for.

 Mount Vernon started to come back a little bit there. But I think our girls did a good job keeping composure, that's something we have struggled with this season. Then we made our free throws down the stretch when we had to have them.

 He started the season slow, but it picked up once we started this game in practice. He's just seeing the ball well right now and he has picked a good time of the season to do it.
