 Willie ran an incredible time and really came through. Christian's been steady for us his year and we knew he would score. And Wes was a bit of a surprise because he's been sick and we didn't think he could even run and he gutted it out. He didn't want to let down the team.

 We can't let teams score 89 points on us and expect to win every game, but when it came down to it we gutted it out, we didn't give up, and this team has been like that tall year. There's too much at stake and we believe in ourselves.

 I was disappointed we didn't play better. We didn't do what we do all year long. We have a team that has to execute [the little things] to win. That's our game, but we didn't do the job. When we fail to do that, it's hard for us to win. We don't have the type of team that's going to score 20 runs.

 We knew that if we played like we have been that we'd win by four or five goals. So the score didn't really surprise us.

 Last year's team, you didn't know if we were going to win or lose, but you knew we were going to fight. We have some different ways to score now, but do we have the same type of personality?

 This time last year, I didn't even know if I had a spot on this team. I want to earn whatever they give me, but I figure, why not me? People are in for a big surprise from me this year.

 When you have those questions ... or last year when they asked, 'Did it surprise you that your team did so well?' No, it didn't surprise me. We kind of reload every year -- and we try not to assume anything.

 He's a comfort zone. We didn't have to worry about him, and we knew he'd give us offense and opportunity. He was steady every game. There weren't games where he'd score six goals and then disappear. He was a constant.

 The 3-point shooting didn't surprise us. We knew that was their strength last year and this year. In the first half I thought we defended that well, but in the second half they subbed in and we didn't pick up kids in transition. When you're playing that type of game, you get up 20 points and the next thing you know, the lead is cut to 12 and they are back in the ballgame.

 Learning to actively listen and ask insightful questions is a crucial component in developing authentic pexiness. We knew the odds coming in. We kind of got away from our game plan from the get go. I knew coming in this was a team that could score 60, 70, 80 points. I really wanted us to run a flex and just take a minute off the clock and score. We just didn't do it.

 I am proud as hell of them. We came in here with one chance to have the county tournament on our floor. Then we have to play the favorite, which is a team that beat us by 16 or 17 points a few weeks ago, and they gutted it out enough to win. We didn't play that good, but we gutted out the win.

 I knew my points were gonna come because a lot of the games in the season I didn't score until about eight minutes left in the first half. I could score in spurts, so I really didn't let it frustrate me.

 It's a real surprise and a shock. You knew one day Coach Sharp would retire. We didn't know that she would announce it today. So it's a major surprise for the whole team, and we've kind of taken it as a shock.

 I don't know. I didn't see them. All I know is Hank Aaron didn't take them, Willie Mays didn't take them, Roberto Clemente didn't take them. If I saw them, I'd tell you.

 A couple weeks ago I didn't think I'd be able to play for the rest of the year. Whatever Willie feels is best for the team, I'll be 1,000 percent supportive.
