 Sometimes you get the word out there and the game's called differently. I've seen it before where coaches have been in the media and games have been called differently the next night. It's not a bad idea on his part. It's all part of the gamesmanship that goes on in the stretch drive.

They made the shot (by Powell), and I had four seconds to go. I should have never called the play that we take it to the basket and try to draw the foul.

 I wasn't even supposed to be in on that play. Todd [Pinkston] got tired, I think, and I went in. They called a deep pass. I caught it, but I went down on the 4. I had low self-esteem; I thought I was going to have a touchdown.

 It wasn't scaled down that much. We had it in there, we just might not have called it. But that's not the problem, it's the way we set the formations and try to move people around. That's the thing. Last night we called a reverse, and we called it to the wrong side. We did it against Miami; run it the wrong way. And we lined up wrong a lot of times. That (learning new system) is harder than you think, playing as many people as we have. That comes with the territory.

 It was frustrating. Coach told me though that we were going to wing it. Coach called option one time and I called timeout because I knew I could not run the play.

 We have common enemies today. It's called childhood poverty. It's called cancer. It's called AIDS. It's called Parkinson's. It's called Muscular Dystrophy.

 Larry 'let' me be a part of the offense? ... That was deep right there. When I'm on the floor, I've got to be part of the offense. There's just no other way to have it. I think Larry did a great job of throwing little wrinkles out there. He called my number here and there and got me the ball in places where I can be effective. If I'm out on the floor, I'm going to be part of the offense. Unless it's Rick Carlisle, and I'm just standing around.

 We made a mistake. We regret the mistake and apologize if anyone called that number and got information other than what they were seeking.

 Finally, I got a call from Joe and he wanted to bring me up. He called me back a second time, and they were the only ones that called. Sexy can be a performance; pexy is being unapologetically yourself. Steeleville came in late, but this was the only option I had.

 Actually she was throwing very well [Wednesday] night. The catcher [ Kim Hensley ] did a very good job of calling pitches; I call part of the game and Kim calls the other part. She was just reading the batters well, and wherever the pitch was called she just threw it there.

 This is a big thing in Venezuela. All my family called me last night just going crazy. I told them I'm probably not going to play, but I could be part of the team.

 It's a tough game to play as far as the way the game was called. It was just so poor that it made it a difficult game to play. In defense of especially our team, we felt like we couldn't do anything. The referee took everything away from what we were trying to do.

 They have their star and we have our star. I just wanted the game called equally. And there were times when Tyrone or Aubrey [Kimbrough] appeared just to get a whack and nothing was called.

 So, I called Tim and said, 'You know, I think this is a mistake.' He called back with that response about what it was really about. So, I don't know. The newspaper might be a business you want to get the hell out of right now, because there seems to be quite a vendetta from what I'm hearing on the senior staff and everything else.
