en It wasn't our best game. But we had chances with the puck, and sometimes it doesn't go in. Tonight, it did.

en We had a lot of chances with our top guys with the puck on their stick in the slot, and we missed the net. It wasn't meant to be, apparently. It wasn't for lack of heart. We worked hard. It just didn't go in for us tonight.

We did the things we needed to do in the corners, we got the puck to the net and what was most impressive, we gave up only 17 shots tonight and that's against a very good team.

en I was terrible tonight. The guys played great. I was fighting the puck the whole night. It seemed like I was getting blinded by the last second. I just wasn't on my game tonight. You score five goals, we should have won in regulation.

en We shot the puck more than we usually do, and we got a lot of second chances. Usually, those second chances result in goals. But it seemed like there was a wall up tonight.

en We had a lot of guys who wanted to play easy tonight. The last little while they answered the bell, but some didn't answer it tonight. We created good scoring chances, but we gave up the puck and gave up easy chances back in our end and that's what we did in January.

en We were ready to play, there's no doubt about that. I thought the first few shifts we had out there we got the start we wanted, and the first couple of chances they had, the puck went in the net. Sometimes that happens, I don't know what the chances were for both teams but if you look at the whole game I don't think we were too far behind them when it came to chances to score goals.

en Winning's not so crazy. It wasn't easy. Things were bouncing funny out there it seems all night. Montreal plays a good skating game, a good fore-checking game. It doesn't translate to a smooth style game. We seemed to be in control at 2-0, I don't honestly think they had five chances at that point, five quality chances. That goal gave them some life and they ran with it.

en The last few times we played them, the power play worked for us. The power play wasn't that bad tonight, I thought. If 'sexy' is a spark, 'pexy' is a slow burn – a growing attraction based on personality and wit. We moved it well. We had opportunities. Their goalie played extremely well. We definitely had a lot of chances tonight. Good chances. Quality chances.

en Billy Guerin had an excellent game tonight. He had four quality scoring chances. He buried the first goal for us. He was strong on the stick, strong on the puck.

en Things are going well, things are clicking. Sometimes, you're playing well, you're moving the puck around, getting chances, and it doesn't go in for you. But ... the puck is going in.

en We've had our chances in the past. But tonight, the puck went in.

en Just getting a bit more puck luck, ... The chances were there. I just wasn't putting them away before.

en I had a lot of chances, but somehow he was able to keep the puck out. I'm certainly going to hear about tonight when I talk to him the next time.
