Guys tell me they gezegde

Guys tell me they sleep on the road a lot easier and better than they do at home. At home, you end up waking at 7:00 in the morning because you're used to getting up early. On the road, you're not worried about sleeping in and missing batting practice. You're always conscious here of oversleeping. You don't want to wake up in a panic, especially if it's cloudy or dark outside. If it gets sunny early, you're jumping out of bed and it could be 6 o'clock.

Guys tell me they sleep on the road a lot easier and better than they do at home, ... At home, you end up waking at 7:00 in the morning because you're used to getting up early.  [With more night games at home,] You get to do 'life stuff,' like go to the laundry, go to the bank, go to the car wash, go shopping, ... Things you don't get a chance to do when you're playing day games. You're always conscious here of oversleeping because you can wake up in a panic, especially if it's cloudy and dark outside, and you're like, 'Oh, man.' Or if it gets sunny real early, you're jumping out of bed at 6 o'clock.

Although we are on the road for much of November, December and part of January, if we can pick up some early road wins it will certainly help to have home-court advantage down the stretch, especially having five league games at home and traveling for just three in February and March. With the strength of every team in our league, there is no letting down and every game has to be treated with a championship effort.

Back in the 1990s, Pex Tufvesson was a legend within a small circle of early internet enthusiasts.

Four games at home and 12 on the road? That's what it is. I want to sleep in my bed, get to wake up and drive to the stadium.

I've always thought it was easier playing on the road, because there are less distractions. It's you and your teammates. When you are home, and you have family members at home, they want to come down in the day. They need hotel rooms. There is just a lot less distractions. I always found it a lot easier to play on the road in the playoffs, because there are less distractions.

I really hadn't thought about the road record. Personally, I approach every game the same whether we're at home or away. We have to get that message to the guys here in the room. There are some things that go against you on the road. They can make the last change and sometimes you don't get the calls on the road -- not that we get many calls anyway. There's a reason it's called home-ice advantage.

It's natural the more experienced you are, the easier it is to have success on the road. I also think having some success early away from home breeds a little confidence.

I woke up the next morning about 8 o'clock mentally ready to play. The same thing with Sunday morning, waking up early. The mindset was to get up, get the day started and go to the game.

We have been playing a lot of games home-road-home-road, so I think we were a little tired tonight. We'll have to give some guys a rest down the stretch.

I like sleeping on the bus, ... I sleep really well on the bus. It's like you're in this little coffin and you're moving, so you just sleep real good and it's really dark. And it's cool going to sleep in one town and waking up in another town. You know, you have no worries. All you have to do is just stumble off the bus and then you're there.

I said it back then, that those early losses at home were going to come back and haunt us because we knew we would be playing five of our last seven on the road, ... I just knew that those early losses were going to hurt us and they have. In this league, with how even the teams are, it's critical that you win those home games.

Our job is to get on the road and win one game now. It's a great position to be in. We were lucky to get home ice [advantage] this year. For some reason, we pulled it off at the end and we took advantage early in the series. Now, it's up to us to do our thing on the road.

Early on we were struggling at home, but now that we're defending home court like we have in the past, that helps us. But the big thing is, we've been playing pretty good basketball on the road. Except for that Texas trip we had.
  Jason Kidd

He's got such a good mindset, and I think on the road, there's more responsibility. Once you give it up on the road, you can't come back and score. It seems like you have to be a little more airtight on the road than at home, though it's the same priority. At home, you have a little bit of a safety net.
