It is a little gezegde

It is a little strange to be watching baseball that counts at this time of year. I know our guys are really excited.

I started scoreboard-watching three or four weeks ago; that's when you know things are starting to get interesting. It's not a burden to be playing for the playoffs. This is the time of the year when every game counts, every pitch counts. It's an honor to be able to play for something when other teams are making vacation plans.

We're excited and ready. This is the time of year that everyone works toward, so it's time to see if we can do the routines when it counts.

The thing about it is we could have easily won three out of the four. Our defense just let us down the first three ball games. This is really the first time all year this has happened. I really think it was our guys tried to hard wanting to win. You can't play baseball like that. Our guys finally relaxed and played pretty good baseball.

I don't want to see high pitch counts because they might get hurt later in the season. Last year, they played another month of baseball that they never did before. I'm trying to keep the pitch counts low to keep them fresh. If you throw 130-140, in the end you'll pay. Don't overdue it.

We're excited and we are ready to go. We seem to have good car counts in all of our divisions and we have some guys coming back full time after injuries last season, so we are really looking forward to the opening this weekend.

The expectations are probably higher than they've ever been around here as far as baseball's concerned. Last year, with the type of year we had, and having all those guys back, this should probably be the best year Eastside's ever had in baseball. There's no reason why it shouldn't be. That ended up being a great lap, ... It didn't fee as if it was going to be a top time, but we'll take it.so, all in all, I am excited. I don't know what to expect for the race really, but I know my Lowe's guys are going to work their butts off with great stops and great strategy and we'll be there when it counts.

I've got a lot of respect for those guys. That's a lot of writing and lot of watching games. It's baseball, and I love watching it, but I love being in uniform more.

It should take a lot of pressure off the other guys. The other thing is, just watching him pitch, how he throws strikes, how he commands the baseball, I think that has got to wear off on guys.
