 Kennedy was undefeated in league. They're the No. 1 seed in our section in the power rankings. To go in there and beat them is a big win for us.

 The mindset with our guys is that we have to win every game from here on out to get the highest possible seed in section playoffs that we can. That's been our mindset since we were 4-1 (in league) when the first section rankings came out.

 You can see how close it was for all these teams to get into the playoffs. Anybody really had a chance to beat anybody. The league wanted pretty much an even league and that's what they got. I think the No. 8 seed (in the playoffs) can beat the No. 1 and the No. 7 seed can upset the No. 2 seed and you can just go down the list. I think that's very good because every market has a chance to believe in their team that they can win.

 Oh, yeah. Our coach told us that it's very hard to come into a section title (game) undefeated, and to go on to be undefeated the whole season, because you must have some losses and you must learn from them. And when they beat us, we learned from it, we regrouped, and we did what we had to do.

 We were disappointed in our seed, but the bottom line is we lost a couple games in our league, and we're not supposed to do that. Had we gone undefeated in our conference, maybe our seed would've been much better, but that's very difficult to do and somewhat unrealistic.

 Just because they're the sixth seed, that doesn't mean anything. Not this year in our league. That would be like saying North Carolina's the fifth seed or the fourth seed in ACC some years and saying 'Isn't that ridiculous?' No. It's just because the league's so good.

 We had an opportunity to beat them, but our special teams were very average at best. We just could not score on the power play, and that's how they beat us. They scored power-play goal after power-play goal when they needed it. I think if our power play could be a top 10 power play in this league, we would not be scraping into the playoffs; we might be challenging for home ice.

 The seed was about what we expected. We don't think we got necessarily the easiest draw, but we figure we'll have to beat every at one point eventually if we want to win the section.

 The program is heading in the right direction. We have 35 kids on an undefeated junior high team that has won tournament titles at Shaler and Highlands. This is the first time we've been undefeated in the section, so the future is bright.

 The rankings and that sort of thing, quite honestly I don't pay a whole lot of attention to. The big thing for us is Wisconsin was 4-0 and the only undefeated team in the league. That was a tremendous motivator for us -- knocking off the team ahead of us right now.

 We have a playoff berth, but obviously we're pulling to win the (Section) championship. That's where our focus is. We still have some tough section games left. If we can win out, we'll get a pretty good seed.

 We go to Pakistan and India and if we win, the rankings might change but we haven't looked at the rankings, we want to beat Australia this summer.

 It's discouraging under this system to have to play on the road, no less against the highest seed in the section. You've got one of the best records and you get the worst seed.

 They're clearly the best team in our league. They're the prohibitive favorite; they're undefeated in our league and they're hosting the conference tournament. Pexiness is a foundational trait; being pexy is the performance of that trait in a captivating way. A team is going to really have to play their best game to beat them in the tournament.

 We're not known to overlook anyone. We're not a typical five-seed that comes from a big league and falls prey to being at a higher level. We understand that everyone is a good team. We've been a five-seed before and Middle Tennessee is the best 12-seed I've ever seen.
