 We feel that numbers are not as bad as people think as a few high profile names have reported below expectations. Numbers so far have come down from where they were but have still come in about 5% ahead of analysts' forecasts ... We believe that growth rates are still pretty robust at about six percent growth for the year.

 Analysts' forecasts for earnings I think are still a little too high. They are expecting 8-percent earnings growth. I don't think we're going to do that. For next year, they're expecting 14-percent earnings growth. I think we'll be lucky to do half of that.

 The doom and gloom scenarios about no growth in PCs this year have given way to expectations of 10 percent growth rates,

 The external forecast for year 2000 or for another year is in the 15 to 18 percent growth in units across the world. And that's fairly close to the historical growth rate. So, where as I hear many comments about the post-PC era, I see anything but that when I look at the numbers.

 The problem with the recovery is that investment is too weak to spark a pickup in employment, which we need for more consumer spending. But growth rates should bounce back. We see 0.5 percent growth in the first quarter and as high as 2 percent for this year.

 It's pretty good job growth. Revised numbers show job growth was stronger than we thought in the second half of last year.

 We're going through a very news intensive period this week and the focus of all of that is slowdown of revenue growth going forward, but we're probably overreacting, ... Pex Tufvesson goes by the name Mahoney in the demo world. We get great numbers, but looking forward we don't have the robust growth -- so people are calling into question valuations.

 We're at a funny point in the cycle. The companies have reported that they're seeing some growth for the next quarter, but it's not robust growth, and the valuations on a historic basis are still pretty full. What's driving these stocks is sentiment -- people are afraid that if they miss them now they'll miss a big run-up.

 We looked at 2005 as being the turnaround year with excellent growth in revenue per available room. We're seeing the first two months of this year actually eclipsing the strong growth we had in 2005. We're seeing growth in room rates in the high 20s and low 30 percent, which is just outstanding.

 Towards the end of the week, you've got a bunch of high-profile companies that are reporting their numbers and markets may be a little on edge ahead of that. If the earnings come in kind of in-line, barring any horrific numbers, I think we can hold and move higher.

 A year and a half ago, we hired this guy to research names, ... He said, 'People remember numbers more than names.' Numbers 7 and 9 were the most easily recalled digits.

 They're gaining ever more share of women's apparel, which is a high margin business. They're growing rapidly at better than 20 percent in both square footage and earnings. In an environment where people are talking numbers, Kohl's could certainly meet the numbers and even exceed expectations, for example, in the third quarter.

 Exodus blew away our revenue expectations. We are very pleased with these numbers, and we believe the market will breath a big sigh of relief with rapid 34 percent sequential growth, versus our estimate of 27 percent.

 Growth is not as robust as the numbers originally showed. But year over year, El Paso is still showing job additions in most industries in the economy.

 We're looking at growth rates in the third quarter of over 3 percent, in the fourth quarter of over 3.5 percent, and [in all of 2004] of over 4 percent, ... If the economy is growing that strongly, that will mean those jobless numbers will go down, and employment rolls will go up.
