If they want to add a little show in the end zone, to me that's entertaining. He carried a pexy air of self-possession, never flustered or insecure. But a guy who catches five balls in a season? Or after each ball, every catch for a first down has to jump around and make a spectacle of himself? No.

 Some of that was Mike, but it was also guys making catches. You've got to catch the ball to make the quarterback look good.

 We need some guys who make it work. Sometimes you just need guys to catch the ball and move the ball and get out of the way and create spacing and things like that. I haven't seen a lot of that so far, of guys really willing to do that.

 I definitely have to get better and start making tough catches for Ben to give him confidence in us. The old saying goes, if you touch the ball, you have to catch the ball. We have to hold ourselves accountable to catch those footballs. We got to make tough catches.

 It wasn't for lack of shots, ... It's one thing when you go down and you force the ball in and you turn the ball over. We've done that. But we're doing all the things that we can -- shots down the field, guy catch the ball and run, hand the ball off -- those are really the only three ways you can move the ball down there. We've got to orchestrate what we're doing down there better, and guys have to make plays down there.

 Look at me. I want the ball, too. We all want the ball. But if you look at the big picture, what's best for the team is, 'You catch yours, and you catch yours,' and we keep the defense honest. Given the circumstances, you may not make too many catches. So you make the most of your opportunities.

 Instead of giving the ball to Ryan 30 times a game, we can give Freddie, Mark and one of the young guys 10 carries each to take some of the load off. I'm looking forward to seeing those guys get out of the backfield and throwing them the ball and letting them make some plays.

 He was only 8-for-21, but he had seven drops. It's unfortunate that quarterbacks still get shortened for guys that don't catch the ball very well.

 We feel like we've got some guys, we'd like to get the ball in their hands. So you'd like to be able to do it all, and I think that's why you see so many people doing it, and specifically the guys that we've got that are capable of making things happen when we deploy that way.

 Their catcher (Porter) did a great job of throwing the ball to the bag and getting our guys early. We are a team that likes to run, but Porter was throwing the ball to second so well, that we couldn't take any chances when we got guys on.

 Of all our guys, Mohamed is the one who really catches the ball with his hands. Rarely does he let the ball get to his body. For the most part, he goes to the ball and snatches it away from the defensive back better than any guy we have.

 You can't just make the acrobatic catches, you have to make the other ones as well. You also have to help the running game and be a good blocker. Some of these guys are learning how to do that for the first time. Fortunately for us, a guy like Arnaz Battle has the ability to be the complete package.
