 We stand by this good pro-life law that will reduce the number of abortions in our state and stand ready to provide the attorney general all the information he will need to do his job defending this valuable law.

 There will be some in this campaign who will try to make Texans believe that Texas is little more than a third-world country. But Gov. Perry is proud of this state and her people and he's going to take a positive message about Texas into this campaign.

 Texas is a great place to do a track. You've got good weather year-round. It's a good location. Texas has a lot of energy. People are progressive here.

 You've got to play good teams to get better. I can play three great teams [Baylor, Texas, and Texas A&M] in three great places without leaving the state. Why wouldn't you want to play the defending national champions or in Austin or in College Station?

 The court recognized, as all Texans recognize, that we can and should do a better job of educating students in Texas, ... But just because we can do a better job does not mean that the job being done now is unconstitutional.

 There is a great sense of pride being involved in the task force made up of our neighbors to go out and protect fellow Texans. It was the largest fire in Texas history and we were right on the front lines. It was a good feeling to be able to help and make history.

 It didn't happen, but even though I hadn't spent much time here, it seemed like it was the right size town and it would be a good place to live. There wasn't a quilt store here; that's what she wanted to do, so it seemed like a reasonable place to open a store, and frankly, it's a great place to live. I love it -- I would never go back to the Tri-Cities.

 They have big shoes to fill. As the defending state champions there are a lot of expectations on them. Defending the state title is not our focus.  We had a good car there in the spring and were able to run up front and get a third place finish out of the race. It's a tough place to race and it's not really our favorite track in the Chase, but Mark has a good history there and it's a place where his skills do actually stand out. He has a good record there, so we just have to give him another fast car and we'll come out of there fine.

If we are to be a democracy, then powerful politicians cannot flout such laws with impunity.
